FAQ
To ensure the best fit, measure the circumference of your hand around the widest part (excluding the thumb) and compare it to our size chart. For mittens, a little extra room is recommended for better insulation. You can refer to our Size Guide to find the right size for you.
At KOMBI, every glove and mitt is thoughtfully engineered with a multi-layered design to offer the best combination of warmth, comfort, and protection. Depending on the model, you’ll find features like moisture-wicking linings, high-performance insulation, waterproof-breathable inserts, and durable outer shells. Each layer is chosen to optimize heat retention while keeping your hands dry and comfortable, no matter the weather.
KOMBI offers four warmth levels to help you find the perfect balance of heat and performance:
Level 1 – Lightweight Warmth: Ideal for high-intensity activities and milder days.
Level 2 – Everyday Warmth: Great for everyday winter use and casual activities.
Level 3 – High-Performance Warmth: Designed for prolonged exposure to cold during outdoor activities.
Level 4 – Maximum Warmth: Built for extreme cold and low-intensity activities in frigid conditions.

While other brands provide temperature ratings – and as much as we appreciate that clarity – we learned from speaking with consumers in the city and on ski slopes that warmth is almost impossible to accurately categorize with ratings. That’s because warmth depends on a person’s own physical characteristics, in addition to outdoor temperature, humidity, wind conditions, and activity levels. We hate to disappoint, which is why we decided not to include temperature ratings.
You may have noticed that some of our mitts and gloves have a Waterguard® membrane, while others have a waterproof membrane. So, what is the difference between them? Well, for one thing, the Waterguard® membrane was developed by KOMBI to offer a waterproof, windproof and breathable membrane that keeps your hands dry and warm. KOMBI’s Waterguard® membrane is known for keeping moisture out and preventing infiltrations.
Our waterproof membrane will also prevent water infiltration. However, since it is not breathable, it does not wick away moisture and sweat. It is a great option for people who don’t sweat or for low-intensity activities such as walking.
